Safe House Program
Over 12,000 Israeli children are in foster care. When they turn 18, they have no more government support, and nowhere to go. We are committed to provide Safe Houses to help integrate them into society.
We are partnering with the Bridge to Independence program to provide apartments for these young men and women (ages 18-24) who have big dreams and little support—Israelis who are working toward their goals in college, the Army, and the workforce.
We provide each small group of 5-8 young adults with a place to live and a house mother/father to make sure they stay on track with their goals, and to help them throughout their transition into adulthood.
Your contribution will allow us to make a 3-year commitment to fund another Safe House in Israel.
The need for safe havens like these is growing every year. Curt Landry Ministries is continually asked to sponsor additional Safe House apartments in Jerusalem—providing safe places, safe homes, and a sense of family and belonging for more and more young adults.
In the past, we have found that because the participants of our Safe Houses were denied a stable environment with their biological families as children, these young people invest heavily into making their environment clean and comfortable, and work hard to make their dreams come true. They come into this program alone but graduate with “a mother” and with “sisters and brothers.”
No one asks to be abused, neglected and abandoned.
Help us open up these much-needed Safe Houses in Jerusalem and make the dream of a loving and stable home a reality for these young adults who have been in government care and denied stability from their biological families.
Help give them a second chance in life—for greatness!
